Our Story
While working in his garden Rick quickly realized that his plants needed more nutrients then what our South Georgia soil had to offer. Growing up in the cotton industry rick wanted to utilize all aspects of the cotton plant. After careful research he found that cotton waste not only has many beneficial nutrients it also has organic matter that helps to build the soil to a healthy level.
Our product is naturally decomposed cotton consisting of cotton stalks, burs, leaves, and other plant materials. After it has completely finished breaking down we are left with Black Gold Cotton Compost.
With Niki’s background in marketing and advertisement this gave them the perfect opportunity to launch Black Gold Cotton Compost in the spring of 2020.
